Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Liquid Foundation comes in a transparent glass bottle with a plastic pump dispenser which makes it very easy to get the foundation out of the bottle. The pump dispenser is further covered by a plastic cap which can be easily handled. Honestly, the product is not travel friendly at all since the glass bottle is always at a risk to get brake. All the important information is mentioned on the cover of the bottle which you can see when you’ll purchase it.
The Dream Satin has a very light weight formula and a thick creamy texture. It does not get sticky at all and blends very easily into the skin. It does not give a matte finish and has no fragrance at all. It gives a dewy finish which makes it perfect for those having a very dry skin. The formula when applied to the skin does not feel heavy at all and doesn’t give a cakey look as some foundations do give.
They are available in 6 different shades which can get one confused which one to actually buy. So, it is always a good choice to first test the foundation at the store and then buy it according to your skin tone. I tested different shades and finally bought ‘Nude B5’ shade which looks fairly good on my skin.
It gives a light and very natural coverage if you apply it once, though medium coverage can be given if re-applied. It helps to cover the pores and make them look smaller but is not helpful in hiding the acne scars much. So, makes it perfect for daily wear or for those looking for a light natural look.
My Experience With Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Liquid Foundation
To be honest, I did not find it an excellent product. It stays on my skin for good 4-5 hours. My only issue with this is that I have a combination to oily skin in summers, so it gets slightly oily on my skin after a few hours. I definitely have to use powder after this application. So, its actually best for people with dry skin who are looking out for a natural and light coverage. Nonetheless, it’s a great product for daily wear and gives a very soft and natural look to my face which I love the most about it. It does makes my pores look smaller and reduces the redness on my skin as well. In all, it gives a soft and satin finish to my face. You can apply this with the help of a brush or spunge and blend it out easily.

Since I have oily skin I skipped checking out the shade also. But the finish it gives sounds great 🙂 Nice review
Undoubtedly, it gives a very soft finish. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
I have very dry skin so I like the sound of this foundation. I have to check it out. Great review.
Yes Simera, it is fairly good. You can try it out once.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Foundation was one of the last things I got into with makeup & is one of the items I feel I know the least about. I think I’ll give this one a miss though, I didn’t realise until your review that it was a mousse texture. I had a mouse eyeshadow from Maybelline many years ago, but it caused me eczema on my eyelids, so I’ve avoided mousse formulas ever since. Xx

Ohh! Its sad to know the bad experience you’ve had with the eyeshadow. And I havn’t heard much good experiences from this foundation from Maybelline. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
I like maybelline products. And this one seems to give a very smooth look. Nicely reviewed 🙂
Yes, it surely does give a smooth look 🙂
I mihmght skip this as I have oily skin. Nice review 🙂
Then you can probably check out other brands Safi 🙂
The look is natural but if it doesn’t provide much coverage I don’t see this working for people like me with pigmented skin.
I totally agree with you Sangeeta!
My sister has dry skin and she likes it a lot
